Mr. Rudy Giuliani did not goof as a substantial number of our public affairs commentators argued following his widely reported interview with Hannity on Fox News, acknowledging President Trump's complicity in the payment of $130,000.00 to Stormy Daniels by Michael Cohen.
Giuliani's disclosure is an illusory tale simpliciter. Stupefying and convoluted as it may seem - objectively and reasonably analyzed - is calculated to preempt, or dilute significantly, the intensity of the probable incriminating findings made by the FBI when they raided the office, home, and hotel room of the President's lawyer, Michael Cohen.
The President has consistently maintained that he knew nothing about the $130,000.00 paid to Stormy Daniels by Micheal Cohen as a quid pro quo for her silence with respect to the alleged sexual encounter between her and the President.
And in a similar vein, Michael Cohen and his trusted confidants, unequivocally and consistently maintained that it was simply a gratuitous offer. Though it benefits the President, it was executed without his knowledge or involvement. That was a few months ago. Then, the raid by the FBI. Consequently, things are 'no longer at ease' at the Trump's World. And Cohen is falling apart, dancing naked (exposed).
Managing Pre-emptive Measure!
No one can say for sure what was discovered and what was confiscated by the FBI when the search warrant was executed. From all indications, only the President, Rudy Giuliani, and Cohen can tell. Now you know 'why the caged bird sings.'
So, to my fellow Americans, if you are waiting anxiously for a bombshell from the raid by the FBI, wait no more. The President and his Rudy Rudy Lawyer have played a fast one on every one of us - preemption classic at its finest, variegated and amusing, notwithstanding.
Here is my read of the Giuliani's mind: If the President lied about the sexual encounter or the hush money contract, he did not lie on oath. That is a better narrative to push and a better line of defense to canvass than waiting for the FBI to tell America, yes indeed, Potus was involved. That would have been a bombshell. Anyway, to what extent campaign finance law is implicated - or the violation of it - is guesswork, debatable.

Nevertheless, trying to discredit the FBI (stormtroopers) and Robert Mueller (witchhunt) as Mr. Giuliani has embarked on, with a view to absolving the President of the crime of obstruction of justice (buying silence) is beyond the pale. It is dirty, it is immoral and it is professionally repugnant.
The FBI can only investigate. They cannot prosecute. And they cannot convict. The Independent Counsel cannot prosecute and cannot convict, either. Those are the responsibilities of the DOJ and our court system. If the investigation is a witch hunt, let the court and the people decide.

As per Mr. Michael Cohen - poor Mike, how are the mighty fallen - I see the likelihood of him cooperating and joining forces with the Independent Counsel. Because, Mr. Rudy Giuliani doesn't give a damn about who goes down, as long as his client, the President, is legally safe and protected. And that is the uniqueness of his brief. Welcome to the Trump's World where truth and lies are still being defined.
