Nigerian Politicians Have Pastors and Imams To Thank For Their Ineptitude.

Thanks to the boom in evangelism and bombastic spirituality in modern day Nigeria, our political leaders now feel less concerned contending with the massive discontent ravaging the land of hope. The less-privileged, the hopeless, the helpless, the hapless and the jobless Nigerians now have a place to call home - the church and mosque - to direct their grievances and vent their anger. Ceaselessly and vehemently, and with righteous intent, they unleash their anger and frustration on the devil. With ceaseless abandon they invoke "die" "die" "die" on imaginary enemies, and at the same time, depleting their meager savings on "Prayer Warriors", not knowing, unfortunately, that the enemies within are the political leaders, the custodian of hope, who, notoriously reputed, do not have reckoning for accountability or nobility. Now you know why the Arab Spring did not happen and may never happen in Nigeria - a DOCILE populace misdirecting their sorrow and vengeance at the wrong target, while the sorcerer flaunts his wealth before their very eyes. Yes, it is about faith. And the men and women of God tell us to have it in abundance for the breakthrough that is to come. And we say yes; staying in faith. But read the Book of James in the New Testament with respect to Faith and Work. And ask yourself: whose fault is it any way? And who empathizes with the poor, the exploited and the jobless whose faith hangs in the balance? Certainly not the man with the mandate - the politician.
