The Unforgettable Precedent of General Muhammadu Buhari.

October 13, 2000, Buhari, in the company of the former governor of Lagos State, General Buba Marwa, Alhaji Aliko Muhammed, Alhaji Abdulrazak and Alhaji Hassan, descended on Oyo State to confront Governor Lam Adesina over the alleged killing and kidnapping of Fulani herdsmen. As it turns out, it was actually his Fulani Herdsmen who were doing the killing, based on the account of the resident DSS agent. The issue here is not who was doing the killing, but the audacity of General Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) to travel down to the great Oyo Empire from Katsina or Abuja to confront a state governor on unproven allegations. That's blatant braggadocio, no doubt. And that's how to be an ethnic warrior, a bigot personified. "No be letta writing." Obasanjo, Afenifere, and Ohaeneze Ndigbo should stop complaining. Learn from Mr. Buhari. Take a stand and take action. NO MORE NIGERIAN DYING IN THE HANDS OF HERDSMEN. With the protest match to Governor Adesina in Oyo State, President Mohammadu Buhari has established a precedent on how to take a stand in defending one's tribal folks and their belongings, whether or not they are trespassing on your farmlands or killing and raping your women. It is that precedent that gives me the audacity to post this message. In dealing with the rest of Nigeria regarding cattle, grazing-lands, and invasion to conquer, expel and occupy, he is still pre-Othman Dan Fodio. He is not going to relent insisting on the continuation of the culture of grazing routes reminiscent of the old era that have been abandoned by recent urban development until he dies. With President Buhari's attitude, and consistent with the bloodbath all over the Middle-Belt, it is very unlikely that any Southern tribe will trust him or his people with their land again.
