Nigeria to 'quickly' recruit more soldiers to check insecurity -- Osinbajo

Nigeria to 'quickly' recruit more soldiers to check insecurity -- Osinbajo: There is an ongoing deliberate and comprehensive consolidation of the security situation in the country including plans to recruit more troops and officers to beef up the personnel of security agencies.

“We are handling security well, and as you know, including military deployment in diverse fields, like the Boko Haram in the Northeast.
“In fact, we have to now recruit more into the army, and much faster than we ever did because we need men on the ground; resources also – to buy more arms, to buy more platforms,” the Vice President said.
BLOGGER'S COMMENT
In the history of Nigerian independence, never have we witnessed a situation where a serving President is openly accommodating of the adversarial forces invading our stronghold and undermining our sovereignty. Nigeria has thousands of unemployed and highly qualified university graduates wasting away unutilized. Rather than tap into that welcoming idle pool to enrich our armed forces and make it the most agile and literate armed forces in the developing world, the President and his men are busy pandering to the Myetti Allah leadership and the sympathizers of the Boko Haram sect recruiting the so-called domesticated and purified captured terrorists into our armed forces. It is going to take Nigeria years to fathom, if at all, and overcome the mistrust this old man has inflicted on our armed forces in the pursuit of ethnic and religious goals. Today, our finest are easily ambushed and slaughtered like chicken all over the North East. And most often, those who survived are known to have stated that they were being shot at from everywhere. And it is sad that we have allowed President Buhari and his Advisers to destroyed our national backbone. It is sad, very sad, that no one is speaking up on behalf of our men and women in uniform.  May God save us all.
