EPHESIANS 5: 15-18: A CONSCIOUS AND PURPOSEFUL LIFE, GUIDED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Ephesians 5:15-18, in essence, instructs believers to live consciously and purposefully, making the most of the time available, and to be filled with the Spirit, not drunk with wine. It calls for a mindful approach to life, avoiding foolishness and wasting time, and instead embracing a life guided by wisdom and the Holy Spirit.

Key points of Ephesians 5:15-18:

Verse 15:
"Therefore, look carefully how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil." This verse emphasises the need to be mindful of how we live and make the most of our time, as the world is in a state of moral decline.

Verse 16:
"Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." This verse highlights the urgency of using our time wisely and effectively, as the world is facing increasingly challenging times.

Verse 17:
"Therefore, do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is." This verse calls believers to be wise and understand God's purpose for their lives.

Verse 18:
"Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit." This verse contrasts worldly indulgence with being filled with the Holy Spirit, which leads to a life of spiritual fulfilment.

In essence, Ephesians 5 15-18 calls for a conscious and purposeful life, guided by the Holy Spirit, avoiding foolishness and maximising our time in an increasingly wicked world, according to the Bible.org.
