This story, of course, is an old story. It gains wide coverage at the moment because of the name behind it - a Senator. Whether or not the story is true, remains to be seen. I have never seen a story so dominate the social media in Nigeria as did this story. The coverage and commentaries at Punch News was overwhelming. Same with Vanguard and Sahara Reporters. So, we weigh in, in light of the fact that the story is about the heart and soul - survival - of Nigeria as a nation. It is about crude oil, the main-stay of Nigerian economy.
