Professor Ambrose Ali Doesn't Need Buhari's Pardon.

It's an assault on common sense and reasonable judgment to demand of President Buhari to pardon the late Professor Ambrose Ali in his grave for a crime he didn't commit. What heresy! What an Insult!
Ambrose Ali refunded my WASC fee and those of all the candidates who sat for WASC that year. He transformed the old Bendel State academically.
But he suffered in prison  and died a wretched man in the hands of General Muhammad Buhari on the allegation of building a Three Bedroom Bungalow in the memory of his late father at Ekpoma.
Is a Three Bedroom Bungalow so mighty an edifice that a Governor's salary can't execute? Give me a break! Whose ideas is it anyway? The ghost of Professor Ambrose Ali is too pristine to seek recompense in the hands of a heartless and brutal dictator.
I saw the Bungalow while attending the University built by Professor Ambrose Ali, and the building was a disgusting sight to behold.
Now, flip the coin. APC, under President Buhari, promised the electorates N5K monthly stipends to unemployed Nigerian youths. He unilaterally jettisoned the campaign promise. A decision his own wife publicly condemned.
Professor Ambrose Ali successfully funded a free education program, he also paid out bursaries to Bendel State students worldwide. And that's a fact. The ills he visited on Ambrose Ali and Bisi Onabanjo while they were in Prison are what he is visiting on the entire country today - unrepentantly inconsiderate.

Moses Osagie Again thank you for the truth. Professor Alli made me who I am today, tuition free to College of Education before I went further to the great University of Nigeria. May He continue to rest peacefully in the bossom of the Lord.

Samuel Amien Johnson My marrow bleed due to the evil done to our Great Elder Statesman, Erudite Scholar, Uncommon Professor, a Trailblazer, no doubt he is resting in the Bosom of God. But, for the evil doer; Karma is lurking, the wicked shall not go unpunished that without remedy.

Cyril Okoh Prof. Ambrose Alli is the best of them all. I am not too sure, but I think it was Awo that once said, "they never die who lives in the heart of the people." Most of all, Alli lives on in the bossom of the Lord. And I think that's all that truly matter.

Alex Oriakhi Sr. Ali was not a criminal. Buhari should ask for forgiveness for what he did to professor Ali. Ali never amassed wealth for himself. No man with his senses should ask for pardon for professor Ali.

Alex Aidaghese Exactly. Ambrose Ali was compassionate, fatherly, and considerate. Buhari is none of the above.

Alex Oriakhi Sr. Buhari ought to face justice for human rights violation in his military days. What was Ali wrong doing? Nothing zero! Buhari should stand up to oshemole who looted Edo state Treasury.

Jennifer Eseosa Matthew-Ero My thought too, having read about him. However, I learnt the eldest son of the late Alli requested for the said pardon.

Asuenimhen Emmanuel Ofeimun Pardon for what? I think some of these people are under influence of Tramadol. Satan to pardon God? The worst insult of the century!

Alex Aidaghese Jennifer Eseosa Matthew-Ero, yes, my friend is in touch with the family and they desire the pardon. But what was Ali's crime? Was he convicted by a competent court? The general consensus here and beyond is that Professor Ambrose Ali, deserves an apology from the man who wasted him in captivity, without cause.

Jennifer Eseosa Matthew-Ero sir, I personally believe the said eldest son never sought proper legal guidance before seeking such pardon. The mere fact that the late Alli was remanded in prison custody doesn't make him a Convict as he was not so pronounced by a competent court. Even though it was a military regime, the judiciary was still in place to try and convict him as far as I know. That said, it is still the wish of the family.

Fred Abienekpen Buhari is not to be blamed but the heartless Ekpoma PEOPLE that testified against Alli, may their souls rot in hell.

Alex Aidaghese Fred, as a dictator, if it is your will to convict a saint, you will find a plethora of willing souls to bear witness of his culpability, real or not. Please, remember the trial and execution of Ken Saro Wiwa of blessed memory. So, I have no grudge against his Ekpoma folks. Buhari wanted him incaserated by any means necessary, and that was what he got.
