The Adam Oshiomhole's Miracle and the Demise of Democracy in Nigeria.

Democracy dies in darkness, when the State physically, or by any means necessary, hinders the ability of Journalists, Independent Observers, and authorized agents of the opposition parties from gaining access to the polling stations.
Democracy is dead when those who are legally and naturally positioned to bear witness to the proper or improper conduct of the Electoral process are treated as enemies of the State - hunted, beaten, bloodied, and persecuted.
And Democracy dies, when constituencies, as well as followers of the opposition candidate or candidates,  are denied equal access to the polling booths and voting materials as the followers and constituencies of the candidate of the ruling party.
What is going on right now in Osun State is a farce - an aberration.
Hitherto, it was inflation or deflation, as the case may be, of vote counts at the collation centers. Now, it's total blockage of opposing forces.
That is not what the franchise is about. INEC has, by this conduct, succeeded in eroding whatever is left of its credibility in the eyes of the global community.
The total blockage of Independent Observers and the Press, as well as the use of force against the agents and sympathizers of the main opposing party, are calculated to thwart the solutions to the electoral malpractices and irregularities contained in the previous essay. Please, see "Saving the Nigerian Democracy."
Finally, to the Nigerian Electoral Body, you can, if you like, do thousands of recounts or re-runs in satisfaction of your diabolical interpretation of the Electoral guidelines, but you cannot compute the blood spilled - of dissenting voices - into the final tally. And that's the tragedy of your new approach, the Adam Oshiomhole's miracle - a national tragedy, packed-full with uncertainties and bloodshed, unfolding.
