Coronavirus and 5G Connection: Facts vs Fictions.

That defines the situation in the United States of America with respect to the race of those who died so far from Coronavirus infection in relation to the overall population of some of the affected states since it hit the United States. When I wrote that piece a few days ago, no one was addressing the RACE and accessibility to Quality Healthcare factors in the United States of America. Accusing COVID-19 of discriminatory practices was just a figure of speech. There is no other way I could explain better the hideous reality of the situation at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, New York.  vividly projected by the pictures and videos coming out from the inside and outside of the hospital.  

Today, thanks to the vibrant American press, that disturbing reality has been laid bare before every American and the global audience. There is no doubt, African Americans have been more susceptible and, in fact, more disproportionately affected by COVID-19 than people of other races. Accessibility to quality healthcare, social inequality, and prior existing medical conditions played and continue to play a significant role in the casualty rate in the African-American communities. Not 5G. 

For instance, when COVID-19 hit the state of New York, New Rochelle was the number one hot spot. But a few days later, when death tolls started rolling in from New York, it was not from New Rochelle, but from Queens. And the dead were predominantly people of color - blacks. 

New Rochelle is more of an affluence upscale suburban area with better access to healthcare facilities. The long line of people of color at the entrance to Elmhurst Hospital in Queens who waited for hours and days to be tested exemplified the race and public health factors that my essay of April 05, 2020, was about. 

Today, I am glad that all the major TV networks - CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, etc., are beaming their research and data-driven light on the existing social decay and the appalling healthcare situation in most minority communities in the United States. To put it succinctly, COVID-19 does discriminate, access to quality healthcare does as well as testing facilities. 

Let do some demographic breakdown. 

The state of Louisiana has 32% African American population, but so far, African Americans accounted for about 70% of the number of deaths. Chicago, about 33% Black, but 73% of those who died. Michigan, 15% of the population, but 42% of the death toll.

Please, enough of the 5G hogwash. And enough of the Illuminati nonsense. When facts collide with science, I will lean on the side of facts.  If radiation was the cause,  wearing a face mask in the public, washing your hand regularly, or staying at home would be of no panacea to the scourge. Today, staying at home, wearing a face mask in the public and washing your hands regularly when outside remain the best bet for preventive measures.
