This essay opened a new vista in the coronavirus coverage. And the highlights remain illuminating, throwing more light on some very important aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic that eluded public scrutiny on the onset.
1. More blacks and people of color were dying disproportionately than people of other races from the coronavirus infection.
2. Though the City of Wuhan in China is closer to Beijing in China than to the City of New York in the United States of America, more people are dying in New York City every day than the City of Beijing in China ever recorded, and at the same time, remains open for business, and
3. The lab connection in Wuhan, China, where it all began.
These three headings defined the COVID-19 debate today. And we invented the lyric - apology to Puff Daddy. At the time I wrote the piece, no one else, not even the news media thought about them. And that's the most compelling reason keeping me in the public space, despite several attempts of saying bye-bye to public intellectualism. Somehow, some time, you serve the public good.
