Delta must prove ownership of alleged $15m Ibori bribe, says EFCC

Delta must prove ownership of alleged $15m Ibori bribe, says EFCC

$15m cash given to Ribadu by Governor Ibori as a bribe for Ribadu to compromise his investigatory job? Right?   Ibori was really a thug! $15m cash; now I know why most Nigerians no longer have respect for the almighty Dollars whenever they come to the US. This development is a vindication of our position and the demand for free education at all levels. The money is there, but they don't know what to do with it. For Governor Ibori to have given such a colossal sum of money as a bride, is a reflection of the magnitude of his insanity as an embezzler. Truth is, if all the thieving Governors stop stealing, no Nigerian would be demanding for disintegration or a confederal option. Corruption is becoming unbearable that most Nigerians, especially southerners are of the opinion that dismantling the country is the only way out. As we argued elsewhere on this blog, that is a mere utopia. Corruption is not exclusively a northern peculiarity; it is a nation-wide phenomenon. It is on record that only Governor Donald Duke of Cross River State was given a "clean Bill" of health as an administrator by EFCC of all the Governors who served under President Obasanjo - meaning all the other Governors, from South to North, were involved in one form of embezzlement or another. Nigeria is not too big a country for one President to govern. The choice before us is simple: we dismantle or we embrace leadership change. I have always argued that once leadership develop positive attitude and embrace accountability and transparency in the award of contract and execution of projects, Nigeria will be a better nation.
