Stop the usual noise until you finalise the leadership team list or make progress in the merger talks. Nigerians, especially the progressives, will not
take you seriously if you people cannot agree on anything this time. Time is not on your side. It is on record that ACN, Labour and CPC, due to the unwavering personal and
individualised ambition of some of you, couldn't develop a viable accord to
wrest power from the bereaving PDP following the death of former President Musa
Yar'Adua. Now, you are at it again, boasting as if you have an Awo and Aminu Kano in your midst. It is about messaging perfection, recruitment drive, and
organisational excellence. So far, you don't have them.
I had an ugly encounter with one Rotimi a few weeks ago at a Punch Newspaper online discussion forum, where he was behaving as if his boss were a brand new candidate for the Presidency. He was breathing down harshly on every blogger who did not have anything complimentary to say about Buhari. He was more than a police man at the discussion/forum. In addition, he labelled some bloggers who did not use their full names as “cowards”. And this same “Rotimi” did not use his real name or full name either
You don't have to demonise me for spelling a particular word wrongly during a live chat. To say he was too irritating is an understatement. Adding to that, asking me to prove that the late Governor Ambrose Ali of old Bendel State did not steal public funds while he was in office as a Governor is not the issue. The issue is about General Buhari's electability - you have to justify the Professor's arrest for me to have a change of heart about your candidate.
Besides, Professor Ambrose Ali is dead. He is not running for office. Buhari is. You, Rotimi, must prove to sceptics like me, as well as Buhari's antagonists, why we should love him and accept him as a viable and credible candidate for the office of the President. You must sell your candidate; you don't win the election by demanding that others prove that their candidates are better than yours. Tell us Buhari's virtues that we don’t know about or that he did not display during the short period that he was the President. It is about him, not the attitude of the bloggers. Convince them that your candidate is a better alternative than what they have right now, because of (1), (2), (3), and on and on.

ACN and CPC should go back to the
drawing board and develop a blueprint for new leadership recruitment as well as follower-ship, policy statement, and message for change that stick effortlessly.
Indeed, there is nationwide resentment of PDP leadership, but that does not translate to nationwide acceptance of the leadership of CPC and ACN. It's all about communication and the messaging system. It is about credibility. Right now, you don't have it. And sadly, you don't have the leadership that can defeat President Jonathan in 2015.
